Dear Readers:
Franck L. Strongbow, the Magnificent Serene Warrior and writer of this Blog has asked me to write a few lines here, a rare request by this terrific friend. It appears the Magnificent Serene Warrior has been feeling "Below the weather", and has not wanted to worry those of us who are endeared to him, by keeping a very low profile these last few weeks.
When I saw him a few days ago, he looked worn out, looked considerably thinner, and I took notice of this. I am quite worried and so is his family. My wife told me she was stunned at the visible signs of wear that Franck shows. He is usually a boisterous, humorous, caring fellow.
The ubiquitously energetic Assistant Director of the James Monroe Senior Center in The Bronx looks like he could use a long vacation to rest up, and forget about his worries.
Lately he has slowed. Several years ago Franck had a mild heart attack and that took some of the high voltage fighting-advocate spirit out of him, understandably so.
I will not say here what I sense he's enduring from a health perspective, but I am afraid for him, and my wife shares my worry, along with his children and Nellie, enough said.
Send your prayers to the Good Lord so Franck feels less of a burden on his shoulders and keeps up the fight no matter what.
